We’re a group of professional tutors with decades of combined experience at agencies such as Advantage Testing, Inspirica, Varsity Tutors, Kaplan, and Princeton Review. We founded Manhattan Tutors because the industry can be opaque, overpriced, and unfair, and we knew there had to be a better way.

We minimize overhead and pay our tutors very competitively.
We work out of students' homes or out of public spaces to cut down on operating costs. The money we save goes toward compensating our tutors fairly. While most agencies keep upwards of 75% of a tutor's hourly rate, our tutors receive as much as 90% depending on their experience. Our pay scale attracts the most experienced and skilled tutors on the market and incentivizes them to stay at our company—which means you’ll be able to work with your favorite tutors again and again.
